Monsoon brings heavy rain to Bagmati & Gandaki

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Department has reported that the monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire country.
The monsoon low-pressure line is situated north of its average position in the eastern region and around its average position in the western region.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, Bagmati State and Gandaki State are experiencing generally to completely cloudy weather, while other State are partly to generally cloudy.
Additionally, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Bagmati State and Gandaki State.
During the day, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of all States.
At night, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in some places in Koshi State, Madhesh State, Bagmati State, Gandaki State, and a few places in the other States.
Heavy rainfall is likely in one or two locations in Bagmati State and Gandaki State
