454 women benefitted under the ‘Save Mothers Campaign’ in Dhangadhi

Women, especially those from rural areas, have benefitted from the Campaign that has been in force since November-December of fiscal year 2079-80 BS (2022-23), it is said.

ATTARIYA (Kailali): The ‘Save Mothers Campaign’ implemented by the Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City in Kailali has been continued in the current fiscal year, too.

Women, especially those from rural areas, have benefitted from the Campaign that has been in force since November-December of fiscal year 2079-80 BS (2022-23), it is said.

The service aims to provide free ambulance facilities to expectant mothers, those in labor pain, and lactating mothers. In the past two fiscal years, a total of 454 women received the service, according to Sub-metropolis health section chief Yogesh Awasthi.

The local government implemented the Campaign with the help of four ambulances.

The Campaign has been continued in the current fiscal year as well and the government has planned to add one more ambulance this year, said Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana.
