KATHMANDU: In a thrilling final, India defeated Nepal 3-2 to become the champions of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League.
The match was an intense battle, ultimately reaching the fifth set where Nepal’s performance faltered, allowing India to seize the advantage on their home ground and secure the title.
Nepal initially led the match by winning the first set 25-23. Despite trailing 20-23, Nepal managed a remarkable comeback by scoring five consecutive points to win the set.
The second set saw Nepal fall short as India won 25-14, leveling the match at 1-1.
Nepal regained the lead in the third set with a 25-22 victory, putting them ahead 2-1 in the match.
However, India made a comeback in the fourth set, winning 25-21 to push the match into a decisive fifth set. In the final set, Nepal struggled and lost 15-5, allowing India to claim the championship.
