Dengue claims one, cholera confirmed in 30 persons
Two thousand three hundred and sixty-five people throughout the country have been infected with dengue since the last seven and half months.
KATHMANDU: Vector-and water-borne disease infection is found increasing across the country.
One person has died due to dengue, the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Department of Health Services stated today. Two thousand three hundred and sixty-five people throughout the country have been infected with dengue since the last seven and half months.
Dengue has spread in 73 districts of the country. The number of infected persons is 537 in Koshi State, 46 in Madhesh State, 747 in Bagmati State, 508 in Gandaki State, 247 in Lumbini State, 38 in Karnali State and 242 in Sudurpaschim State, according to the Division.
Similarly, 287 cases of dengue have been recorded in Kathmandu Valley, 137 cases in Kaski, 133 cases in Jhapa, 116 cases in Chitwan and 110 cases in Tanahun.
Likewise, the number of cholera cases has been increasing. EDCD said that cholera has been confirmed in 30 people across the country. So far there is no casualty from cholera.
