KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini State Chetnarayan Acharya has distributed the responsibilities of the ministers of the state. The responsibilities of the eight ministers who were appointed on July 7 were not specified.

Congress’s Dhanendra Karki has been given the responsibility of economic affairs and planning, Prachanda Bikram Neupane has been given the responsibility of industry, tourism and transport, Badshah Kurmi has been given the responsibility of forest and environment and Saroj Thapa has been assigned the responsibility of urban development and water supply, according to the Chief Minister and Cabinet Office of the province.

Likewise, Bhumishwar Dhakal of UML has been assigned the responsibility of physical infrastructure development, Dinesh Panthi for agriculture, land and cooperatives, Khem Bahadur Saru for health and Sita Sharma for energy, water resources and irrigation.

The remaining ministries of Internal Affairs and Law and Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens are kept by Chief Minister Acharya himself.

UML and Congress formed a new government in Lumbini. In Lumbini, which has 87 MPs, there are 29 from the UML and 27 from the Congress.
