KATHMANDU: The government has decided to change the Chiefs of three states.

In a meeting held on Monday, the Cabinet decided to remove the Chiefs of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Karnali States and appoint new ones.

Accordingly, Deepak Prasad Devkota will be appointed in Bagmati State, Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar in Lumbini State, and Yagyaraj Joshi in Karnali State under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Oli’s government.

Along with this decision, Yadav Chandra Sharma, who was serving as the Chief of Bagmati State, will be relieved of his responsibilities. He is close to Unified Socialist Party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Previously, Amik Sherchan was the Chief of Lumbini State, and Tilak Pariyar was the Chief of Karnali State.

They will also be replaced.
