KATHMANDU: In a significant development at Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL), Bhagirathi Bhattarai has been appointed as the new CEO and Surendra Raj Regmi as the Chief Executive Officer.

Jwala Devi Bhattarai, who holds a postgraduate degree in Public Administration and Economics from Tribhuvan University, has a long-standing career in teaching and involvement in various organizations.
Meanwhile, Surendra Raj Regmi, who has been serving in senior roles at the bank since Bhadra 2081 BS, brings over three decades of experience in the banking sector, having joined GIBL as Deputy General Manager in 2065 BS.
Regmi holds an MA (Economics) from Tribhuvan University and an MBA from the University of Wales, UK.
His expertise spans across areas such as debt management, risk assessment and control, banking operations, compliance, branch management, general administration, and merger management, making him a seasoned banker in the industry.
