KATHMANDU: Autopsy of those who died in the plane crash of Saurya Airlines will be conducted.

The autopsy of the bodies of the 18 people who died in the Saurya Airlines crash is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday.

Preparations are being made for their autopsy at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

The administration of the hospital said that the post-mortem will be started after the relatives of the deceased and representatives of Saurya Airlines reach the hospital.

An official of the hospital informed that all the dead bodies will be handed over to their relatives only after three days of post-mortem.

The crash occurred within the premises of Saurya Airlines’ airport in Pokhara, en route from Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Eighteen fatalities have been reported, with the pilot successfully surviving.

Pilot Manish Ratna Shakya is currently undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College.
