KATHMANDU: The parliamentary committee has passed a condolence motion expressing sorrow over the Surya Airlines plane crash at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

On Wednesday, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee meeting under the House of Representatives passed a condolence motion over the casualties in the Saurya Airlines plane crash at TIA.

The meeting expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

It also emphasized prompt medical treatment for the injured crew members, including pilots involved in the incident.

The committee also wished for their swift recovery.

Providing information about the decision taken in the meeting, Committee Chairperson Ramhari Khatiwada stated, “Today, the committee expresses sorrow over the financial loss caused by the Saurya Airlines plane crash at Tribhuvan International Airport. It extends sympathy to the families of the deceased. It urges the government to pay attention to the prompt treatment of crew members involved in the incident and wishes them a speedy recovery.”

During the meeting, lawmakers expressed sadness over the financial loss incurred due to the plane crash and urged the government to focus on the swift rescue and treatment of the injured crew members as well.
