Polio vaccination campaign in the valley from today

KATHMANDU: A special polio vaccination campaign will be conducted in Kathmandu Valley from today.

A special polio vaccination campaign is going to be conducted for all children under 5 years of age in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts till July 27.

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has stated that even though the polio vaccine is given in the routine vaccination, children must be vaccinated against polio in this campaign.

Polio disease can affect people of any age.

However, children under the age of five are at greater risk.
