Govt positive on construction entrepreneurs’ demands: DPM Singh

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh has stated that the government has responded positively to legitimate demands put forth by construction entrepreneurs.

Today, during a meeting at the ministry, he was briefed by a delegation led by Ravi Singh, Chair of the Nepal Builders Association, regarding the issues faced by construction entrepreneurs and expressed commitment to initiate efforts towards their resolution.

“I understand the role of entrepreneurs in development construction very well, and I am committed to giving priority to resolving issues,” Deputy Prime Minister Singh said.

Acknowledging Deputy Prime Minister Singh’s assurances, Ravi Singh, Chair of the Builders Association, highlighted ongoing concerns among construction entrepreneurs about delayed payments.

He also drew attention to a memorandum aimed at amending the Public Procurement Act, which Deputy Prime Minister Singh had promised to consider.

“We have placed our demands before Deputy Prime Minister Ji, and we have seen his positive attitude towards our issues,” he said.

During the occasion, the association also extended best wishes for Deputy Prime Minister Singh’s successful tenure.
