Pangolin rescued from Taplejung

KATHMANDU: A pangolin has been rescued in Taplejung.

Police rescued pangolin from the road of Phungling Municipality-7 Aishwarya Chowk on Monday.

According to Kamal Kumar Lungeli, information officer of the district police office, the police team rescued pangolin and brought to the district police office.

The Division Forest Office at Taplejung was immediately informed about the incident to ensure proper care and relocation of pangolin.

Lungeli said that the pangolin was handed over to the sub-division forest office staff this morning.

The staff of the forest office said that the pangolin will be returned safely to a suitable habitat.

Division Forest Office Taplejung said that it is everyone’s duty to ensure the survival of pangolin, which is considered endangered.
