GBBL launches Intl QR payment service

KATHMANDU: Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBL) has introduced an international QR payment facility.
In collaboration with fonepay, the bank has launched a cross-border QR payment system targeting Indian tourists/customers visiting Nepal.

Under this service, Indian customers can scan Garima Bikas Bank’s QR codes using Indian payment service providers like BHIM and Fonepay.
This enables them to make secure and convenient payments at various business locations across Nepal.
The bank stated that it has partnered with its business clients to offer this service in a fast, efficient, and reliable manner.
Such services are expected to further strengthen the economic and mutual relations between Nepal and India, playing a significant role in the development of Nepal’s economic and tourism sectors.
