KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, in collaboration with FonePay, continues to offer international QR payment services, facilitating payment transactions for Indian citizens visiting Nepal.
Through this initiative, Indian visitors can securely and conveniently make instant payments at various commercial establishments in Nepal by scanning QR codes provided by the bank.
This service integrates with popular Indian payment platforms like VimPay, Paytm, and GooglePay, aiming to enhance economic, social, and bilateral relations between Nepal and India, while promoting Nepal’s economic growth and tourism development.
Previously, the bank also signed a memorandum of understanding with Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) to facilitate international transaction payments between Nepal and India.
Additionally, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank plans to collaborate with institutional customers to ensure swift and reliable service for Indian tourists in Nepal.
Emphasizing its commitment to cutting-edge digital payment solutions, the bank aims to establish itself as a leading provider of international QR payment services across its branch and merchant networks throughout Nepal.
