KATHMANDU: The Secretariat meeting of the CPN-UML has begun.
The meeting, scheduled for 11 AM, started a short while ago at the party’s central office in Chyasal.
The meeting, initially set for 1 PM on Tuesday, was postponed to today due to the ill health of party Chair KP Sharma Oli.
Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali informed that the meeting is discussing recent political developments and the division of responsibilities among leaders.
An understanding has been reached between the Nepali Congress and UML on alternating leadership of the government and issues related to constitutional amendments.
The meeting will also discuss the agreement reached with the Nepali Congress on the night of Ashar 17 (July 1) and future strategies.
Additionally, the UML has stated that the meeting will cover the party’s action plan for the year 2081.
