Continuous rainfall causes road collapse in Bhojpur, halts transportation

KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall has caused a road collapse in Bhojpur, Tyamkemaiyum Rural Municipality-3, Mespanga, along the Mid-Hills Highway.

Approximately 60 meters of the Bhojpur-Chakhewa road section has been collapsed.

The asphalt road collapse has halted transportation, according to Ramadevi Rai, Vice Chairperson of Tyamkemaiyum Rural Municipality.

The collapse occurred this morning.

“Due to the rain, the road in Mespanga along the Mid-Hills Highway has collapsed,” Vice Chairperson Rai stated. “The road has sustained significant damage. If the rain continues, the damage could worsen.”
