KATHMANDU: Due to continuous rainfall over the past three days, the water levels in the Kaligandaki and Myagdi rivers have increased.

Local residents near the riverbanks are urged to remain vigilant as the water levels rise.

The District Administration Office in Myagdi has requested caution, urging residents to collect stones and sandbags around riverside and low-lying areas.

With the rise in water levels, areas in Mustang, Myagdi, and mountainous regions are at high risk.

Chief District Officer Laxman Dhakal emphasized the importance of staying cautious and avoiding riversides during floods, warning against potential risks while retrieving items such as firewood from rivers during floods.

In Tanahun, electricity services were disrupted in two municipalities when the electricity cables were damaged due to floods and landslides.
