Spain defeats Germany 2-1 to reach European Cup final

KATHMANDU: Spain has advanced to the Euro Cup semifinals after Michael Merino scored a goal one minute before the end of extra time in the match that began on Friday and concluded on Saturday.

In the match held at MHP Arena, Spain defeated Germany with a score of 2-1.

Dani Olmo gave Spain an early lead by scoring in the 51st minute.

However, Spain could not maintain this lead.

Germany’s Florian Wirtz scored one minute before the end of regular time, pushing the game into extra time.

But in the 119th minute of extra time, Michael Merino scored from a pass by Olmo, securing Spain’s spot in the final four.

Additionally, in the last minute of the match, Spain’s Dani Carvajal received a second yellow card and had to leave the field.
