KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence on July 12.

Currently, his government is in the minority after the CPN-UML withdrew its support.

Additionally, eight ministers aligned with the UML have resigned from their positions within the government.

To address the political situation, there’s an agreement in place between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to establish a national consensus government in parliament.

On July 1, both parties agreed to forge a new understanding and collaborate on issues related to governance and constitutional amendments.
