KATHMANDU: Bardiya’s Barbardiya Municipality has started providing free snakebite treatment services at the municipal hospital.
The services have commenced following compliance with all standards required for such treatments.
According to the Chief of the Municipal Health Branch, Govinda Paudel, all necessary preparations at the hospital management level have been completed before initiating these services.
The hospital now offers round-the-clock free treatment, addressing the local community’s previous necessity to travel to Nepalgunj, which posed risks of financial burdens and potential life loss due to delayed treatment.
Chair of the Hospital Development Committee, Tirtharaj Paudel, mentioned that training has also been provided to doctors and health workers for snakebite treatment.
