One dead in clash in Panchthar; 3 injured

KATHMANDU: In a clash involving unidentified individuals, one person has died while three others have sustained injuries.

The District Police Office has reported the death of 37-year-old Dinesh Kumar Rai from Ward No. 14, Aahal, Phidim Municipality, due to injuries sustained in the clash.

According to information, a group of 15-20 individuals, including Dinesh Rai, Parshu Rai, Dhurva Rai, and Puskar BK, went to Dhankumar Rai’s house in the village last night to witness a traditional ceremony (Dhami-Jhankri).

Altercations occurred among them leading to injuries.

All four injured individuals were taken to the district hospital in Phidim for treatment.

Sadly, Dinesh Kumar Rai succumbed to his injuries this morning during treatment, as confirmed by Information Officer Binalal Sah Teli of the District Police Office.

Among the injured, Dhruv and Puskar have been discharged from the hospital after receiving primary treatment.

The identification of those involved in the incident is still under investigation, as informed by the police.

A police team, led by Inspector, has been mobilized from Ranitar and Pauwasaratap to search for those involved in the incident.
