KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will take over the responsibility of 8 ministries held by UML.

With the withdrawal of the support given to the government, 8 ministers who participated in the government from UML jointly resigned.

Alongside withdrawing their support to the government, eight ministers from the CPN-Maoist Centre had collectively resigned from their ministerial positions.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Prachanda himself has assumed the responsibility of these ministries as communicated by the Office of the President.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Dahal, the following ministries from the CPN-Maoist Centre were vacated: Raghuvir Mahaseth as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Padma Giri in Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Jwala Kumari Sah in Agriculture and Livestock Development, Balaram Adhikari in Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Damodar Bhandari in Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Bhagwati Chaudhary in Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Rajendra Kumar Rai in Drinking Water, and Hari Prasad Uprety in Defense.
