KATHMANDU: A debate has concluded on the writ filed demanding the suspension of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, as well as the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane.

The hearing of the case, which was under the bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Sharanga Subedi, concluded a short while ago.

The justices are currently drafting the verdict.

It is reported that efforts are being made to announce the decision today.

The Office of the Attorney General had issued a letter stating that there was no complaint or prosecution against Home Minister Lamichhane, who was implicated in a cooperative fraud case.

Despite the victims of Suryadarshan Cooperative in Kaski filing a complaint against Lamichhane, the Office of the Attorney General gave him a “clean chit.” Consequently, advocate Bhattarai filed the writ.
