KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at Baluwatar, intending to submit their resignations.

PM’s Constitutional Right to Face Parliament:

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, RSP Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar said that the Prime Minister requested them to wait until he faces the parliament, emphasizing his constitutional right to do so.

Decision to Withdraw Resignation:

Pariyar mentioned that the Prime Minister’s request seemed reasonable, leading them to retract their resignations for the time being.

They advised the Prime Minister to expedite the parliamentary process.

Pariyar also stated that they will support the Prime Minister until he exercises his constitutional right.

Respect for PM’s Request:

Pariyar affirmed that since they have already decided not to join any new coalition, they respected the Prime Minister’s request.
