GIBL & Bhumi Developers sign agreement for green housing loans

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) and Bhumi Developers Pvt. Ltd. and Pacific Developers Pvt. Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding green housing loans.
GIBL has committed to providing easy and convenient loans to buyers of eco-friendly residential homes developed by Bhumi Developers and Pacific Developers in Kitini, Ward No. 3 of Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur District.
The bank will facilitate straightforward and hassle-free loans within three working days to customers interested in purchasing eco-friendly homes sold by Bhumi and Pacific Developers Pvt. Ltd.
Additionally, GIBL will act as the banking partner for the projects undertaken by Bhumi and Pacific Developers Pvt. Ltd.
The MoU was signed by Narahari Silwal, Head of Small, Medium, Retail, and Agricultural Loans Department at the bank, and Venkatesh Mundra, Director of the developers.
The bank will provide green residential home loans up to NPR 120 million at a fixed interest rate of 8.99% for a period of seven years.
Afterward, the loan will be available at a premium rate of 1.75% for the remaining loan period, which can extend up to a maximum of 30 years.
This loan can be utilized for the construction of eco-friendly houses/buildings and apartments, the purchase of environmentally friendly personal homes or residential apartments and flats, and the renovation and maintenance of existing buildings to make them eco-friendly by adopting environmentally friendly measures.
