Vinicius Junior to miss Copa America quarterfinal

KATHMANDU: Brazil forward Vinicius Junior is set to miss the Copa America quarterfinal match.

The Real Madrid star received his second yellow card of the tournament after fouling Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez.

Brazil secured their spot in the quarterfinals with a 1-1 draw against Colombia in the final Group D match held on Wednesday morning.

In the quarterfinals, Brazil will face Uruguay.

Brazil finished second in Group D with five points from one win and two draws in three matches.

Uruguay advanced to the final eight as the winners of Group C.

Remaining unbeaten, Uruguay won all three of their matches, accumulating nine points.

The match between Brazil and Uruguay will take place on Sunday morning at Allegiant Stadium.
