KATHMANDU: The Ministers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are set to resign from the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The ministers will soon meet with Prime Minister Prachanda to submit their resignations.

The Prachanda-led government includes four ministers from the RSP, with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane leading the group.

On Wednesday, the CPN-UML withdrew its support from the government, leading its ministers to collectively resign.

The CPN-UML broke its coalition with the CPN-Maoist Centre and formed an alliance with the Nepali Congress, leaving the government in a minority.

With the fall of the Prachanda-led government imminent, the RSP ministers have decided to leave the government as well. RSP President Rabi Lamichhane serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.

Vice President Dol Prasad Aryal is the Minister for Labour and Employment, Sumana Shrestha is the Minister for Education, and Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is the Minister for Youth and Sports.
