KATHMANDU: Eight ministers from the CPN-UML have collectively resigned.

They exist the Prachanda-led government as their party chair, KP Sharma Oli, is set to lead a new government with the Nepali Congress.

With Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Raghubir Mahaseth among those who resigned, the Prachanda government has now fallen into a minority.

On behalf of the UML ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth submitted the collective resignation.

Following their resignation, they took a group photo with Prachanda.

Before submitting their resignations to Prachanda, they gathered at Oli’s residence in Balkot.

The UML had decided on Wednesday to resign and withdraw their support from the government.
