UML ministers head to Baluwatar to submit resignations; PM calls at 8:30 PM

KATHMANDU: Eight ministers from the UML party who had gathered at Chair KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Balkot have now headed towards Baluwatar.

Before submitting their resignations, these eight ministers, who were appointed from the UML, were summoned by Chair Oli to his residence.

After meeting with Oli, they are now on their way to Baluwatar.

According to one of the ministers, the Prime Minister has scheduled a meeting with them at 8:30 PM.

They are preparing to submit a collective resignation.

With this move, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is expected to fall into a minority.

The Nepali Congress and the UML have already agreed to form a new government under Oli’s leadership.
