KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has called his ministers to his residence in Balkot before they submit their resignations to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

A minister informed that after meeting with Oli, they will collectively proceed to Baluwatar to tender their resignations.

Following the recent shift in the political alliance, the UML has decided to recall its ministers from the government and withdraw its support.

This decision comes after an agreement was reached between the Nepali Congress and UML on July 1, under which a new government will be formed under Oli’s leadership.

The ministers have already called on Prime Minister Prachanda to step down.

However, Prachanda has taken a firm stand, stating he will not resign and will instead seek a vote of confidence in Parliament.

Due to Prachanda’s stance, Oli may have to wait another month before he can assume the position of Prime Minister.
