I am prepared to step away from politics, even if it benefits the country: Mukul Dhakal

KATHMANDU: Dr. Mukul Dhakal, the General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has announced his readiness to leave politics.

In his statement, he emphasized that if it is in the best interest of the country, he is prepared to step away from politics.

He expressed that even though leaving the country itself isn’t the solution, if it serves the nation’s interest, he is willing to do so.

His remarks come amidst controversy within the party, where Dhakal has prepared a strongly critical report.

This report was scheduled to be presented at today’s central committee meeting, although party president Ravi Lamichhane prevented its presentation.
