KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has commenced.

The meeting, which started at 8:30 AM, is currently ongoing at the party office in Chamati.

In a unique protest, General Secretary Dr. Mukul Dhakal has taped his mouth with black tape, expressing his dissent over the lack of live broadcast of the meeting.

The meeting, held at the party’s central office in Baneshwor, is set to discuss contemporary political issues and review a report presented by General Secretary Mukul Dhakal.

With the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML forming a coalition, it is certain that the ruling coalition partner, the CPN (Maoist Centre), along with RSP, will now move to the opposition.

The RSP had previously decided not to join the Congress-UML coalition.
