KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided not to participate in the new coalition.

This decision was taken during a meeting held at the RSP headquarters on Tuesday morning.

After the start of the process to form a new government, a meeting was called to recall ministers, which was explained by party Whip Santosh Pariyar.

“This new coalition is not in the interest of the country and the people. It does not contribute to political stability,” he said. “After the process of forming a new government progresses, we will naturally withdraw from the government.”

Currently, RSP has four ministers in the federal government.

Rabi Lamichhane serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs.
