Heavy rainfall expected across multiple States, caution advised

KATHMANDU: Tuesday also has the possibility of rain in many places. Due to the influence of the monsoon wind, some places are experiencing heavy and very heavy rainfall today.

In the morning, some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States are receiving rainfall.

Meteorological forecasts have indicated the occurrence of rain with thunder and lightning in some places in Lumbini State and one or two places in other States.

During the day, there is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, and light to moderate rainfall in some places in Koshi and Madhesh States.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.

During the night, many places across the country have a moderate possibility of rainfall with thunder and lightning.

Some places in all States have the possibility of heavy rainfall. Gandaki and Lumbini States have been warned of the likelihood of heavy rainfall in one or two places.

Due to the high possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, there is a risk of landslides, floods, inundation, and soil erosion.

It is advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate risks and to be partially affected in daily life such as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport in these areas.
