KATHMANDU: Ecuador has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa America.

In the final Group B match held this morning, Ecuador secured their spot by drawing 0-0 with Mexico.

Ecuador finished as the runner-up in Group B and will now face the defending champions, Argentina, in the quarterfinals.

The Group B winner, Venezuela, will play against Canada in their quarterfinal match.

In another game, Venezuela advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Jamaica 3-0.

Venezuela progressed as the winner of Group B, achieving a 100% win record in the group stage.

Edward Bello, Salomón Rondón, and Eric Ramírez each scored a goal in Venezuela’s third victory.

All three of Venezuela’s goals came in the second half.

Previously, they defeated Ecuador 2-1 and Mexico 1-0.

Venezuela will now face Canada, who reached the quarterfinals as the runner-up of Group A.
