KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has launched the Mastercard Issuance service to enhance its payment system capabilities. The service was inaugurated at a special event held in Pokhara on Sunday.

According to the bank, customers can obtain the Mastercard, which can be used as a debit card, from all branch offices of the bank. The card features state-of-the-art security technology, including EMV chips and advanced contactless technology.

Through this card, customers can enjoy facilities such as ATM withdrawals and POS payments in Nepal, India, and Bhutan.

The bank, aiming to establish itself as a ‘Digital First’ bank, believes that this collaboration with the globally renowned Mastercard will significantly contribute to elevating the banking sector in Nepal.

NIC Asia Bank, a leading commercial bank in the country, has been providing services through VISA cards until now.

NIC Asia Bank has expanded its network to include 360 branch offices, 670 ATMs, 118 extension counters, and 51 branchless banking networks across the country.
