Weather forecast: Monsoon influence across Nepal
According to the weather forecast bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is occurring in some parts of Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali States, as well as in one or two places in the remaining States.

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that monsoon winds are currently influencing the entire country, leading to partial to generally cloudy weather across Nepal.
According to the weather forecast bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is occurring in some parts of Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali States, as well as in one or two places in the remaining States.
The department predicts that the weather will remain generally to fully cloudy throughout the day. Thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rainfall are expected in many places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim States, and in some parts of the remaining States. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, as well as in one or two places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim States. A few areas in Gandaki State may experience very heavy rainfall.
Similarly, the weather will remain generally to fully cloudy tonight across the country. Many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, along with some areas in the remaining regions, will likely experience thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rainfall. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, with very heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States.
The department has issued a warning for the next 24 hours, indicating the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas and very heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States. The public is advised to take precautions against potential floods, landslides, and flash floods in these regions. The forecasted weather conditions may have partial impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transportation in these areas.
