One swept away by Melamchi River: Death reported

KATHMANDU: A 22-year-old Nisha Kumari Tamang, a resident of Helambu Rural Municipality-5 Sirishe, died on Thursday morning after being swept away by the Melamchi River.

As soon as the news was received that she was swept away while crossing the river, the police deployed from the area police office Helambu, police station Talamarang and temporary police post Shera found her body in Melamchi River located in Melamchi Rural Municipality-6 while searching.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
