Rajesh Payal Rai turned back from flight due to excessive alcohol consumption

KATHMANDU: Singer Rajesh Payal Rai, who was scheduled to travel to Dubai on Thursday, was turned back from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

According to police sources, Rai was stopped because the airline complained that he had consumed excessive alcohol.

Airport sources confirmed that Rai had already boarded the plane with his boarding pass.

He was removed from the aircraft by the police after he began causing a commotion.
