KATHMANDU: Bhat-Bhateni Super Markets’ Chair, Min Bahadur Gurung, has announced that the company will create additional employment opportunities for 2,000 youths.

This announcement came during a meeting with the Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal.

Currently, Bhat-Bhateni employs over 6,000 individuals.

The company also plans to offer part-time employment opportunities at its stores in and outside Kathmandu.

In these newly created jobs, Bhat-Bhateni will adopt a new process and pay salaries weekly.

However, this employment opportunity will only be available to individuals under 21 years old and those currently enrolled in college.

These part-time employees will be required to work four hours a day, five days a week.

In contrast, current full-time employees work six days a week for eight hours each day.

Similar to policies in countries like the United States and Australia, which allow students to work only up to 20 hours a week, Bhat-Bhateni will adopt a comparable system.

Students will have the flexibility to choose their working hours as per their convenience.
