KATHMANDU: A Chinese lunar mission has successfully returned to Earth with samples from the moon’s surface.

The unmanned Chinese lunar probe Chang’e-6 brought back samples from the far side of the moon.

The probe landed in the deserts of Inner Mongolia on Tuesday.

Scientists have stated that the samples retrieved from the moon could significantly aid in research and exploration related to planetary formation.

The China National Space Administration (CNSA) has declared the mission a complete success.

Researchers claim that the samples brought back by the Chinese probe will also help in studying the composition of the moon.
