Two women killed by lightning in Rolpa

KATHMANDU: Two women were killed by a lightning strike in Eastern Rolpa’s Sunchahari Rural Municipality-3 this morning.

According to the District Police Office, the incident occurred in Dangja village, Bahirigam, Sunchahari-3.

The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Jaita Gharti Magar and 14-year-old Gomala Gharti Magar.

Police reported that the two women, who were related as sister-in-law and sister, were sleeping in the same house when the lightning struck.
