Weather: Heavy rain expected in various regions

KATHMANDU: Today’s weather forecast predicts rain in different parts of the country.

Heavy rain is likely in a few locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.

Since early morning, light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, has been observed in some places in Bagmati, Koshi, and Gandaki States, and in a few locations in other States.

The weather across the country is generally partly to mostly cloudy.

In the afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are expected to remain mostly cloudy. Other regions will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.

Heavy rain is expected in isolated locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States.

During the night, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will remain mostly cloudy.

Other regions will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies. Rain is expected in many places in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati States, and in a few locations in Gandaki and Lumbini States.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim States.

Heavy rain is expected in isolated locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people to remain cautious in areas with heavy rain, as there is a risk of landslides, floods, and soil erosion.

Heavy rainfall is likely to impact daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transport.
