Brother held for murdering sister

KATHMANDU: Police arrested 22-year-old Dipendra Kumar Ram, a resident of Paroha Municipality-8 Narakatiya Tole, on the charge of murdering his own sister, 20-year-old Tetari Kumari Ram, on Sunday morning.

Tetari, who was seriously injured when Dipendra Kumar struck her with a bamboo stick in a fit of rage due to a family dispute, died during treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard after taking permission from the district court Rautahat in the case of murder related to the crime (duty killing) against him.
