Situated close to Kathmandu, this region, particularly along the Sunkoshi River in Sindhupalchowk, has attracted both domestic and international tourists for activities like rafting and enjoying the cool waters.
Especially during the months from Falgun to Chaitra, Sukute is recognized as the rafting season.
However, even during the summer, people flock here to experience the thrill of rafting.
During the rafting season, around 1,500 tourists, both domestic and international, visit Sukute daily, either in groups or individually, to indulge in this exhilarating activity.
They navigate through the Sun Kosi River, managing their busy lives by immersing themselves in the enjoyment of the water.
Spanning a five-kilometer radius around Sukute Bazaar, there are eleven hotels and resorts of various levels, including Sukute Beach Resort, Sunkoshi Beach Resort, Sandy Beach Resort, Bhotekosi Beach Resort, Sukute River Fun Beach Resort, Sukute Beach and River Bay, Maya Beach, Rock River, and Sun Kosi Riverside, among others.
These resorts offer a range of adventurous activities alongside comfortable accommodations.
