KATHMANDU: The Egyptian government prepares to crack down on 16 travel agencies involved in organizing fraudulent Hajj pilgrimages in Saudi Arabia, which were not registered.

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly orders the revocation of licenses of these agencies and publicizes the transfer of individuals and entities involved in public events.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, declares in a meeting that the situation for unregistered pilgrims in Mecca has become extremely critical and accuses tourism companies of failing to provide any services.
