Karan Pariyar wins Nepal Idol’s Season 5, bags Rs. 2.5 million cash prize

KATHMANDU: Karan Pariyar hailing from Bardiya clinched victory in the fifth installment of ‘Nepal Idol Season 5’, a renowned singing competition.
His triumph was determined by the audience’s votes, prevailing over contenders Mohit Bhujel, Salomi Gurung, and Sachin Bishwakarma in the finals held on Saturday evening.
Pariyar, the champion, was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 million, while Salomi Gurung from Pokhara secured the second position, receiving a cash reward of Rs. 1 million.
Sachin Bishwakarma from Darjeeling claimed the third spot, earning Rs. 500,000. Similarly, Mohit Bhujel, also from Darjeeling, secured fourth place and was honored with a scooter as a prize.
The judging panel for this season of ‘Nepal Idol’ consisted of Nhyoo Bajracharya, Kaliprasad Baskota, and Indira Joshi.
