KATHMANDU: Portugal has advanced to the knockout stage of the ongoing Euro Cup.
Last night, in a Group F match, Portugal secured a 3-0 victory over Turkey to reach the knockout stage of the tournament.
Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes each scored a goal for Portugal, while Turkey’s Samet Akaydin scored an own goal.
This is Portugal’s second consecutive victory. In their previous match, Portugal secured a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic.
With two wins from two matches, Portugal tops Group F with 6 points, thus securing their place in the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, Turkey is in second place in the group with 3 points from two matches.
Portugal will play their final group stage match against Georgia on June 27, while Turkey will face the Czech Republic on the same day.
