Heavy rainfall expected in 4 States, caution advised

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted heavy rainfall in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.
According to the division, the monsoon system is currently affecting most areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, as well as the eastern parts of Lumbini State.
The division has noted that other regions are experiencing partial effects of local and western winds.
Presently, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, and in one or two places in Lumbini State.
In the afternoon, it is expected to be partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, and in a few places in other regions.
Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.
Tonight, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, while other areas will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear weather.
The division’s weather bulletin, published at 6 AM today, also indicates the likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini States, as well as in a few places in Karnali and Sudurpashchim States.
Moreover, heavy rainfall is possible in one or two locations within Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini States.
