Gold prices surge by Rs 1,900; Silver also rises

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market surged by Rs 1,900 per tola today. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association announced that fine gold is now priced at Rs 144,700 per tola, while standard gold is available at Rs 144,000 per tola.

This marks a significant increase from Thursday, when fine gold was traded at Rs 142,800 per tola and standard gold at Rs 141,500 per tola.

Additionally, the price of silver has been set at Rs 1,865 per tola today.

The Federation determines the daily prices for gold and silver in the domestic market, aligning them with international market rates. For context, one tola is equal to 11.66 grams.
